The Left Show
Podcast Phil Day of Action #1 – We spent the day at The Nerd Store and managed to raise $161.00 in cash, and about 4 pounds of change I haven’t counted yet, some great toys and a couple of comic books, before we got shut down by mall security. We didn’t get what I wanted out of the day, honestly, but I’ll measure success by how many people dropped in a buck, or some change, and how many fans stopped in to see their favorite show folk. www.podcastphil.com

December 13, 2014 -In addition to more traditional internet messaging and fund raising, the Podcast Phil participants will take part in a day of action, inspired by the efforts of Passage UK, and raise money, on the ground, by surrogate panhandling. All day on December 13, 2014, participants will take shifts with signs and cups, asking for help on the most local level – face to face. The Nerd Store in the Valley Fair Mall (3620 S 2400 W, West Valley City) is hosting the effort.

PHASE THREE Part 2: December 14, 2014 – After the Saturday event, maybe something more up beat? Lisa from North of Center Photography has sacrificed her birthday party, 4:00pm, at Gracie’s Bar (326 South West Temple, SLC, UT 84101) to invite all the Podcast Phil members and their friends, fans, and families, to help raise money and awareness for Phil, and to show that amateur philanthropy doesn’t have to be boring and stuffy.

On this episode of Geekhead Radio, we discuss X-wing from Fantasy Flight Games and Dragon Age: Inquisition from Bioware. We also discuss the new trailers for The Force Awakens, Terminator Genesis, Jurassic World and complain about why geeks will always be disappointed by our favorite franchises.

Sometimes my day gets so very, very full of minutiae and tasks, that by the time I get to this part, the writing up the episode part, I’m empty and just don’t have anything else left in here. Today is one of those days. We had Mark Avo in the studio today with JM Bell, Bob Easton, and Melissa Merlot, and, damn it, he deserves a better intro. Regardless, it was funny, informative, and didn’t suck.
BBC America was nothing but classic Sean Connery James Bond movies last night and I had a hard time staying on task. Next thing I know, it’s the middle of the night, and I forgot to make this post that you are reading now.
Political Bob Aagard was our Forrest Fill-In this week, with JM Bell, Ultimate Bob, JC Carter, and, introducing, Intern Ariel! Look below, we covered lots of stuff!
