Something important is popping up tomorrow: Politic 2.0 is hosting another innovative debate. You might recall this group as the folks who had Rep. Cannon in to a blogging round circle a few months back. It was a great format, and, while I still can’t stand the guy’s politics, a really cool thing for Cannon to do.

This is from their website:

The campaigns of Jenny Wilson, Ralph Becker, Keith Christensen, and JP Hughes have confirmed their participation in a Salt Lake City mayoral debate to be streamed live on the Internet, hosted by Politic2.0. The web-based forum, called “ConventionNEXT”, will be held Wednesday, August 8, 2007, from 7:45 to 9:15 PM at the Salt Lake City Public Library’s main auditorium, located at 210 East 400 South in downtown Salt Lake City.

The primary election for the Salt Lake City mayoral race will be held on Tuesday, September 11 and the general election will be held on Tuesday, November 6.

If your publication, news station, talk show, or other media organization would like to receive a press pass to the event or to interview an employee of Politic 2.0, please call Matt Moon, Chief Political Officer, at (907) 830-5122 or email him at moon@politic20.com.

Register at www.politic20.com and login August 8th to participate in this exciting new forum.

Where the hell is Buhler? As owner of the niftiest mayoral website, he shouldn’t be afraid of this kind of thing. He’s probably hunkered down with Orrin Hatch trying to find new and different ways to subvert innovation and stifle the rights of the American citizen.

Take the time to participate with this event. This kind of innovation should be supported.
