Deep Thinking
I love Pundit Kitchen
Out and Around
I'll be running around a lot today, mostly at U.V.U. for a couple of different panels. I think I'll filp on the Twitter re-director. I apologize if it's annoying when the blog does that. J.M. Bell
Katrina Recovery – 160 Billion / Wall Street Gamblers Bailout – 700 Billion
Around 160 Billion to rebuild one of the busiest port cities in the world, doled out in an inefficient, nearly worthless manner that is punitive to citizens, especially in the poor areas. 700 Billion to people who basically gamble, loan shark and commit usury. They...
Reflections On Port O' Call
I worked for the Knowley's for a while in the mid 90's. Jannette Knowley remains one of my favorite former employers to this day, years after I stopped cracking skulls for a living. I was a bouncer at Port O’ Call* and a bartender/bouncer/barista at Anchors Aweigh*. I...
Job Opportunity!
You know, if I was still single, I'd totally go for this job. From Boston.com: See the world (or at least parts of the USA). Meet new and interesting people. Drive the Wienermobile. Who knew it was a real job? Oscar Meyer is taking resumes until the end of January for...
I have worries …
It's like the battle of the giant eye-brows. Maybe it was opposite day at the Golden Globes?
New DNC – It worked so well, we should stop doing it immediately.
The 50 State Strategy worked. It worked very, very well, too. It worked so well, in fact, that Democrtats now have the White House, The people's House and near parity in the Senate. To celebrate how well Howard Dean's 50 State Strategy worked, the new DNC is not only...
Eat. Like snake.
Best Thing EVER!
Pat Hingle shuffles off this mortal coil – Rest in Peace, old man
Reports - From io9: Actor Pat Hingle died this weekend, aged 84. As many news reports have pointed out, his career included a four-movie run as Commissioner Gordon, from 1989's Batman to 1997's Batman And Robin, but he also starred in many other SF projects, including...
Obama's Pick for CIA Director – Leon Panetta – Is A Great Choice
A quick note to Democrats that voted for the Military Commissions Act - The reason you don't like this guy should be PERFECTLY CLEAR, but it isn't, because you're morally corrupt. I hope that wasn't too subtle. From Mother Jones - How did we transform from champions...
Important Conversations about Important Topics – Part 9
It started with this picture: Then: Jan: Ha ha, very funny - and sexist! I'm telling your mother! J.M. Bell: she's been at the mall since 1988. The store she went to was out of business and some kind of logic override took over. She's been walking around the mall ever...

Remember when Sean Hannity fell all in love with me? Sean Hannity says - "JM Bell: You're a Great American." Seriously. This came from that. Clicky for all the fun of late spring 2007! I sometimes crack myself up.

You know us as The LEFT Show and the World’s Greatest Comic Book Podcast, but did you know we’ve done other shows? Over the last 12 years, we’ve hosted a myriad of shows featuring voices and topics you really can’t get anywhere else.
Once a year, mostly, we open up a GoFundMe to help pay our static bills for the year. Usually, we ask for help with hosting, domain renewals, SSL certificates, bandwidth usage and equipment repair, just to name a few things.
This year is different. THIS YEAR, we’re kicking it up a notch. We’re building a studio, but not just a podcast studio … a broadcast studio!
That’s right, we’re evolving. We’re shopping office space to build the next step in our Network’s adventure. A lot of you have been asking when we’re going to start doing Video with the podcasts, and this is your time to shine!
HOW? Easy. Two paths to success: Fundraising and Sponsorships. We’re working hard on pulling in a few sponsors for the year, and we’re asking folks to help us bridge the gap!
This is not only a way for the World’s Greatest Podcast Network to record the shows you already know and love, but to expand the lineup with new shows, and to help people and non-profits to record their own shows. We’ve committed, over the years, to helping launch new voices and evolving the pod-space for important messages.
