Labor Day is an abused holiday. Mattress sales, truck sales, electronics sales- you name it- batter and assault a holiday based on the work of tens of thousands of union workers more than 100 years ago. As we approach the frantic 2026 midterm steeplechase to Election Day, it’s important to remember how we got here and what has been taken away from us.
