This whole plagiarism thing is such utter crap. I think the audience reaction to it all pretty much sums up where people think the whole issue belongs. Obama’s explanation was (while unneeded if you’ve seen the clips) both calm and more than reasonable. The crowd in the auditorium gave him a warm cheer. Normal, more rational people people would have clued in that it was a good time to, maybe, shut up a little bit.
