You’d think that such a highly subsidized food wouldn’t cost $4 a box. The sugar, wheat, corn and rice in there are among the top 5 subsidized crops in the country. Makes you wonder how much those Cheerios would cost without ’em.
Oh man don’t even get me started on the price of Cookie Crisp.

The cereal itself accounts for about 15% of the cost. The rest is packaging and marketing.
