WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — President Bush on Saturday will undergo a routine colonoscopy at the presidential retreat at Camp David, Md., and will temporarily transfer power to Vice President Cheney during the procedure, White House Press Secretary Tony Snow said Friday. Bush underwent the same procedure, a screening for colorectal cancer, in 2002 and received a clean bill of health. Bush’s doctor at the time recommended that Bush undergo a follow-up screening in five years. Bush, under the 25th amendment of the Constitution, transferred power to Cheney for more than two hours during the 2002 procedure.
“Bush, under the 25th amendment of the Constitution, transferred power to Cheney for more than two hours during the 2002 procedure.”
You mean, Bush “officially” transferred power to Cheney.
It’s gotta be mighty uncomfortable stashing WMDs there . . .
Great title, by the way.
