This makes me happy.
Several years ago, some big media companies with the help of some big software companies pushed the DMCA (digital millennium copyright act) into law, which prohibits making any technology designed to bypass copyright control measures.
Today, a small company is suing those big companies for violations of said law, claiming that the big companies are circumventing a copyright protection system by not using a copyright protection system (that, coincidentally, the small company sells…).
AKA – getting your ass sued by an unscrupulous company for failing to comply with the unscrupulous law that you helped pass. MUAHAHHAHAHA!
