Our troops and the American public are the ones feeling the consequences of a failed strategy in Iraq – terrorist attacks are up across the globe, April was one of the deadliest months of the Iraq war and our National Guard equipment is in Iraq rather than standing ready to help with disasters here at home. Until there is accountability in Iraq, this Administration and the Iraqi government are getting a free pass.

So, again, I ask, when the White House calls squad level tactics a “Strategic Plan to Pacify Baghdad and Win The War on Terror,” how in the hell does that support our troops? There is no question, that from the colonel level down to PFC, that American troops are doing everything they can, and that they are doing it, 99.9% of the time, in a professional way.

Here’s the thing, squad level tactics are just that, a way for a handful of troopers or Marines to keep each other alive. The White House plan has done nothing more than throw a deluge of squads into a target rich environment. And, the Americans are the targets.

I’m kinda worked up right now, so, more on this later today.
