It’s Garbage Day again, can you feel it? Can you smell the stench of distraction?
Lets be honest, the biggest threat to a young black mans life is another young black man. I’m not saying that racism doesn’t exist, it’s alive and well in modern day America, just that this current frenzy is nothing but distraction from the real issue of the inequality that leads to poor education and poverty. So no, I’m not going to attend a hoodie march, I’m not going to take a side, I’m not going to discuss it.
The Supreme Court herd arguments over the Affordable Healthcare Act this week (Obamacare for anyone who hasn’t kept up) At the crux of the issue is the individual mandate and its constitutionality. We won’t know until June how they will rule, and I’m torn either way. The Affordable Healthcare Act does a lot of great things, but the key to paying for bill, the individual mandate, IS Corporate Welfare. It’s why I’ve had mixed feelings about it from the beginning.

America suffers from a serious lack of equality. Equality gives everyone the same fighting chance, even ground, an even playing field. The outcomes will never be the same. Some people do better than others and some people try harder than others. The point is that one person is not actually better than another person and we all deserve the opportunity to succeed.
A nations success is directly related to the investments it puts into healthcare and education. We’ve got to have an educated healthy workforce in order to prosper. We don’t have that anymore in America. We lost it because we get distracted over the petty stuff so our wealth can quite literally be extracted while we fight each other. Do you see how stupid we’ve become?
This Garbage Day we need to kick the distraction to the curb. We need to pay attention. We need to demand equality for ALL!

Oh, the political games!
It’s likely the President will give the go ahead today for the SOUTHERN leg on the Keystone pipeline to be extended to the gulf coast. He’ll announce it on a campaign stop, and it the process give the GOP part of what they want.. but will the GOP thank him? Will they be indifferent? NO! They’re already in attack mode, proving once again that President Obama can’t do anything they can agree with… not even the things they want
Here’s some truth: More refining in the gulf won’t bring down the price of gas. As of late last year the U.S. began exporting more oil than we import. The tar-sand oil being brought through Keystone is 4/5th’s contracted by foreign nations, the remaining 1/5th by US companies and is set for export. There is little in the way of jobs.
Yes, the GOP is selling America. When the President, for political reasons, gives them a helping hand they bite it. We’re being feed so many lies and unfortunately so many of you believe them. It’s time to wake up America! Corporations are using the GOP to extract wealth and keep us divided.
This Garbage Day average Americans are being taken to the curb. I ask you, are you trash?

Dear GOP Presidential Candidates,
You’re liars. Everything you say is guile at best. You lie about the President, you lie about each other, and you lie about yourselves. Integrity is lost on you.
Do you not realize that every word you spew will be fact-checked and made clear by the next morning? You’d like to be perceived as taking the high ground, being moral, and having the strength to lead our country. How’s that working out? You think you can unite the people and lead us into the future, but here’s the thing; leaders need followers.
Congratulations Candidates! You’ve made yourselves a rancid pile of Garbage Day trash. I’d wish you luck but you’re gonna need a miracle… or maybe just some integrity, but that’s your problem to begin with and you don’t get it.

Garbage Day 2/9/2K12
CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference) kicks off today. It’s that time of year when when the evangelicals bigotry and hatred is on full display for everyone to see. We’ll watch as nonreligious conservative groups get pounded by the religious ones as they spew foaming bile from their mouths like swords… exciting, eh?
My take: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof”- meaning that any religious movement within politics and governance is unconstitutional, while any movement outside of it shall not be infringed.
It’s time we kick political religion to the curb. It’s immoral, it’s divisive, and there is no good that comes of it. This Garbage Day we throw out the religious elite with the rest of the trash.

It’s been a while, but the Congressional Democrats are officially on my “kick your ass to the curb” list. As the Republicans are dropping their support for SOPA and PIPA, the Democrats are vowing to “fix it.” I’m calling bullshit.
Let’s not pretend that Congress even understands what these bills even mean, they don’t. Like so many others they were written by corporate lawyers, not our elected lawmakers.
So why are the Democrats not jumping ship? Hollywood corporate cash. It’s really that simple. They don’t want to lose their 2nd biggest cash cow so badly that they seem to be willing to sell out our internet freedoms and turn our computers into a single use appliance.. you know, like a toaster?
“Under SOPA you could get 5 years for uploading a Michael Jackson song, one more year than the doctor that killed him” <—that only begins the absurdity. Now to be clear, I’m not advocating violating copyright laws, these bills are NOT the answer!
Pull it together Congressional Democrats! We take out the trash on Garbage Day. Stop stinking the place up!!!

Close your eyes and imagine what our world will be like in ten years… Will the people on this planet have taken control of the business and governments that claim to protect and serve us? Or will the monsters have won instead? Does it matter? Do you care?
All over the world madness is setting in, people are afraid. At the same time the powerful are scared too, do you see this? Do you see the the changing tide, the smell of fear in the air, the rhythmic beat marching us into the unknown?
Garbage Day my ass! This is our time to take a stand. Our time to secure the future for humanity. We must not cower to the lies and deception we face every damn day. Put on your boots, rise up, helmet up, and get marching. The only thing standing in our way is us. It’s Garbage Year!!!
