From ABC News.com:
New Hampshire Deputy Secretary of State Dave Scanlan told ABC News that turnout among primary voters today is “absolutely huge” — and there are concerns about running out of ballots in towns like Portsmouth, Keene, Hudson and Pelham.
“Turnout is absolutely huge and towns are starting to get concerned that they may not have enough ballots,” Scanlan said. “We are working on those issues. Everything else seems to be going smoothly.”
You know, it’d be nice if we could have that kind of voter turn out in Utah, wouldn’t it?
Well, we’ve got four weeks. Let’s start a movement through all Utah political blogs to encourage record-breaking voter turnout. (You and Misty have both talked today about how great that would be.)
I think it’d be great to have that problem EVERYWHERE. Maybe it’s a sign that this lackadaisical attitude people have about politics (the ‘my vote doesn’t count so I don’t vote’ syndrome) is in decline.
