What is the difference between Mitt Romney and a platypus?
The platypus isn’t an asshole.
Over at MSNBC, One trick party pony Mitt “The flop-flip” Romney explains that Senator Craig, who up until yesterday was head of his Idaho campaign, soliciting a rub and a tug in a public restroom, and GOP Pederast Rep. Mark Foley soliciting sex and nudie pics from underage boys, is the same as two heterosexual adults, albeit not married, having sexual relations behind closed doors (even if they were the doors to the Oval Office).
“Once again, we’ve found people in Washington have not lived up to the level of respect and dignity that we would expect for somebody that gets elected to a position of high influence. Very disappointing. He’s no longer associated with my campaign, as you can imagine… I’m sorry to see that he has fallen short.”
And Romney also included this jab at Bill Clinton as he continued to talk about Craig: “I think it reminds us of Mark Foley and Bill Clinton. I think it reminds us of the fact that people who are elected to public office continue to disappoint, and they somehow think that if they vote the right way on issues of significance or they can speak a good game, that we’ll just forgive and forget.
Wow. Newt Gingrich must be rabidly committing the sin of self abuse somewhere with this statement and an autographed picture of Mitt signed “Dear Newt, it takes a douche bag to know a douche bag; that’s why we know each other so well – love, Mitt-ster”.
Hey, Mitt, there’s a difference between Foley, Craig and Clinton and you can’t possibly be this stupid to not know what it is.
Hey, MSNBC, you should have pointed out the difference in that piece of crap article.
What it comes down to is this. Democrats are sinners, but Republicans have lapses in judgment.
From my perspective, beware of anyone who professes too loudly “family values”. They are hiding something.
Romney and the rest of the GOP aren’t going to support Senator Craig because it will be so easy to replace him with another Republican. OTOH it’s awkward to condemn the man when he’s holding press conferences claiming to be innocent.
What to do? Talk about Bill Clinton’s nine-year-old scandal of course.
